Episode 1 - All Good Things
After seven years in business, Chef Shawn Adler decides to close his beloved Kensington Market cafe, while Chief Bob Chiblow starts his season in a walking cast. Both entrepreneurs are looking for new adventures on the pow wow trail.
Episode 2 - When There’s Fire, There’s Smoke
Arriving at the North American Indigenous Games, Shawn is hit with a slew of rules and an epic storm, while Bob copes with a bad foot, a food inspector, extreme heat and thick smoke outside of Ottawa.
Episode 3 - Family Matters
When joined by his sister and nephew at Six Nations, Bob ups his marketing tactics. After a team emergency Shawn’s parents come to the rescue at the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax.
Episode 4 - Peace and Fish Grease
Shawn shows off his new dream project to his parents while the Pow Wow Cafe gets caught in a raging East Coast storm. Bob’s team battles heavy winds and dwindling food supplies at Six Nations.
Episode 5 - Team Spirit
Family dynamics put teamwork to the test for Chiblow Fish at the busy Wiki Pow Wow, while a medical emergency creates concern and setbacks for Chef Adler’s team on day one of the Hillside Music Festival.
Episode 6 - Scone Dogs & Smelts
Bob keeps his sense of humour when a storm forces the Wiki Pow Wow to move indoors and the vendors to pack up and go home. While at the Hillside Music Festival, bad weather brings Shawn big sales and a new idea.
Episode 7 - Chiefs And Cooks
Along with contentious pre-election politics, Chief Bob Chiblow also finds himself contending with a family dispute, a fire and high hopes for his nephew winning the Serpent River vendor’s dance competition.
Episode 8 - Fish vs Moose
Shawn tries serving fish and chips for the first time while his team embraces the carnival atmosphere at Summerfolk. Bob finds himself fiercely competing against moose meat in Algonquin country.
Episode 9 - From Kings to Potato Peelers
With most of his crew MIA on set-up day and still in a walking boot, Bob finds himself needing a hand from Shawn and Whitney as the Rama Competition Pow Wow is set to kick off a jam-packed weekend.
Episode 10 - Lemons and Spuds
Short on spuds, Bob buys into a unique program at Rama, while Shawn’s brother Howard practices his Ojibway on customers.
Episode 11 - Brotherly Love
With Whittney under the weather, Shawn and Howard go it alone against big lineups at Curve Lake, while a mechanical failure forces Bob’s team to do some cooking the old-fashioned way.
Episode 12 - The Water Song
Nostalgia fills the final day at Curve Lake as Shawn gets reinforcements from past mentors, Rhonda recounts Bob’s management style and Art and Amy tell a Wikwemikong love story.
Episode 13 - Food Heals
Shawn shares his mother’s experience in residential school while serving 1500 Indian tacos at an inner-city gathering, and road-weary Bob is energized by the power of social change at a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event in Sault Ste. Marie.
