Episode 1- The Boss is in Town
Missinipi's management team prepares to attend the inauguration of a newly elected Chief and Council in Pukatawagan, the company's owners. But a storm threatens their plan. Despite the stress, they brave the snow and fly in the food just in time for the event.
Episode 2- The Sky is the Limit
Winds of change are in the forecast for Manitoba’s First Nation owned Missinippi Airways. During a visit by the newly elected Chief, managers are under the gun to finish moving into their new headquarters and to launch their newly acquired jets.
Episode 3- Snow is in the Forecast
An early winter storm creates big problems at the Grace Lake terminal. As the maintenance team struggles to keep the runway open, the train to Pukatawagan breaks down, creating a sudden spike in passenger demand. Stress rises as the snow keeps falling.
Episode 4- Above and Below the Wing
While Missinippi's managers move into their new headquarters, they must also keep their planes in the air. Pilots and paramedics may get all the glory, but their ability to fly safely depends on a team of unsung heroes who faithfully work ‘below the wing’.
Episode 5- Like Father Like Daughter
Born into a family of Indigenous pilots, Kerri-Ann Sweeney is paying her dues with scheduled service flights to Pukatawagan. But Kerri-Ann has her sights on a bigger dream, to fly with her father, Capt. Tim Sweeney, onboard Mississippi’s medevac program.
Episode 6- Planes, Trains, and a Winter Road
When frigid weather halts rail service to Pukatawagan, the community relies on Missinippi airways to keep food and supplies flowing. But freezing weather means their winter road could open, and leadership wants to know why the province is keeping it closed.
Episode 7- All in the Family
As the third generation in a family of Indigenous pilots, Kerri-Ann Sweeney is about to fulfill her dream. An opening in the medevac program allows her to fly beside her dad Tim, but their first medevac rotation tests both these pilots and their patience.
Episode 8- Jugggling Planes and Pilots
Winter in northern Manitoba and rising passenger demands are putting extra pressure on Missinippi Airways managers. Stress mounts as they juggle to keep their flights on time, manage pilot hours and deal with new mechanical problems.
Episode 9- The Cost of Doing Business
The maintenance team works around the clock to replace an engine on a medevac plane. As they face this complex and expensive procedure, the big boss swaps his desk for the cockpit to ensure that another medevac plane can keep generating revenue in the air.
Episode 10- Forest Fire Season
It’s early in the forest fire season and remote northern First Nations are already being evacuated. To respond to the needs of the communities under threat, Missinippi Airways trains more pilots on their newest plane, so they can fly more emergency cargo.
Episode 11- Missinippi to the Rescue
As the forest fire crisis worsens, new Missinippi pilots learn to fly through heat and smoke to keep the community supplied. When another First Nation receives an evacuation order, Missinippi mounts an emergency rescue mission to fly evacuees to Winnipeg.
Episode 12- Too Many Birds in the Barn
Heat and mechanical issues force the grounding of four medevac planes just as the boss leaves on summer vacation. The maintenance crew struggles to get their grounded birds into the air while father/daughter medevac pilots, Tim and Kerri-Ann, wait for a plane.
Episode 13- Flying Faster and Higher
They may already be a leader in northern Manitoba’s aviation industry, but this First Nation owned airline has bigger aspirations. When the senior flight team pilots a medevac jet outside Manitoba, they show why the sky is the limit for Missinippi Airways.
