Rudy Reimer
Co-host (Archaeological Guide)

Dr. Rudy Reimer is an Indigenous Archaeologist from Skwxwu7mesh Uxwumixw (Squamish Nation). He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in archaeology from Simon Fraser University and a PhD in anthropology from McMaster University. An instructor in the Department of Archaeology at Simon Fraser, Rudy also teaches in the university’s interdisciplinary First Nations Studies Program (FNST).

Rudy’s passion for history was developed through exposure to famous archeological touring spectacles such as the tomb of King Tut. He was guided to think about the past but not his own cultural history.

Having grown up across Canada, Rudy was away from Squamish Territory for the first twelve years of his life. At that time, history books in school curriculums shed very little light on Native cultures. It wasn’t until his family relocated to Squamish that he learned from elders of the very ancient ties this culture has to the land.

Rudy decided to develop his growing interest in Aboriginal history by enrolling in Geology courses at Cap College to learn more about the land and its formation. He also enrolled in an Anthropology course that led him straight to an archaeological field school in the Fraser Valley, which changed his academic direction. With the guidance of his professor Stan Copp, Rudy recognized that his true passion lies in archeology. Rudy’s first job out of post secondary school was with his cousin, Kevin Rivers, at the consulting firm –ARCAS, working at the famous Locarno Beach site.

Jenifer Brousseau
Co-Host

Jenifer Brousseau is Ojibway and French from Serpent River First Nations in Northern Ontario and has been performing since the age of 5. Trained at Lyric School of Acting in Vancouver BC, Jenifer has traveled throughout the world with various foundations and humanitarian organizations hoping to bring inspiration and change using theatre and creative arts as a tool to inspire Canadian youth. She has played many thought-provoking roles, both on screen and stage, and is currently a co-host of APTN’s forthcoming documentary series, Wild Archaeology. With her powerful voice, Jenifer likewise entertains throughout the world as a session vocalist with the Aboriginal Women’s singing ensemble, M’girl, having previously toured Germany and New Zealand. Utilizing her passion for imagination and creativity through the language of writing, theatre and music, Jenifer spends her time as Creator, Writer, and Artistic Director of the suicide awareness and prevention play, Beneath the Surface. This poignant production has toured throughout BC and Alberta and continues to impact and even save many lives with its pertinent message of hope.

Jacob Pratt
Co-Host

Jacob Pratt is Dakota/Annishnabe from Cote First Nations in Saskatchewan.

Jacob has been pursuing his acting career for a number of years. In addition to co-hosting Wild Archaeology, he is also the lead voice actor in an APTN cartoon called Louis Says. He has been in a number of different productions and continues to expand his acting career in Los Angeles, where he recently moved.

Jacob attended the First Nations University of Canada, where he completed a degree in Business Administration and became the first student to earn a major in Entrepreneurship.

A well established professional performer, Jacob is an award-winning Native American Flute player as well as a dancer who started in pow wow and hoop dance. He has also trained in ballet and contemporary dance and practiced choreography as well.

Jacob has a passion for working with Native Youth. He does motivational presentation and workshop in hopes that he can encourages the next generation to strive for success in their lives.
